  • Who: Work with a rural not-for-profit community group and village chiefs focusing on bringing clean water and sanitation to local families. You will work collaboratively in small teams, alongside local staff to review existing water and sanitation facilities using a human centred design focus. 
  • What: Assist local staff in the development and implementation of safe hygiene facilities, water access, and small out buildings. You will be involved in: planning, design, budget, material choice, construction and evaluation. Share your knowledge as you provide education for local villagers to ensure sustainability of your project. This project will be overseen by an Australian Engineer and local staff.
  • Where: Eastern Uganda near the town of Busia
  • When: 
    • 2019/2020
      • 6th December 2019 to 4th January 2020 (1 month)
      • 6th December 2019 to 1st February 2020 (2 months)
      • Students may accrue between 160-320 Professional Practicum/Work Experience Hours
      • Applications are now open for our December/January/February placement 
  • Duration: 1 to 2 months 
  • Suitable for: Agricultural, Engineering, Environment & Urban Planning university or college students who have have completed at least their 1st year by the start date of the program. Also open to Professionals.
